Students learned how to identify different insects and discussed their roles in the ecosystem at Nehrling Gardens’ World of Insects program Sunday, July 22.
David Chomanics, resident caretaker and ecology specialist at the Gotha gardens, conducted the classroom portion and then walked the children through the gardens, pointing out the various bugs.
Participants then got crafty with pipe cleaners and beans to create a fun insect project.
