Coffee behemoth Starbucks and Florida-based breakfast/lunch eatery First Watch join the growing list of businesses at Lakeside Village Center and Westside Shoppes in Horizon West.

Both new businesses will be setting up shop in a 9,000-square-foot multi-tenant retail building currently under construction at Lakeside Village Center.

“We’ve got a couple of restaurants going in there,” said Michael Boyd, a sales and leasing representative for Boyd Development. “We’ve got a First Watch that is going in, and they’re taking about 3,500 square feet. ... Starbucks will take the northerly end cap. They’ve got a drive-thru, and they are about 2,300 square feet.”

Between the Starbucks and First Watch will be a 3,000-square-foot nail salon and spa, Boyd said.

In addition to the eateries, a Sweetwater Car Wash opened recently, and another car-care business is slated to open soon.

“There’s an outparcel that’s just south of the Sweetwater Car Wash that is under construction, and that will be an Action Gator Tire location,” said Kevin Meredith, sales and leasing representative for Boyd Development. “The permits have all been filed and all that, so they’re well along the way.”

Adjacent to the Lakeside Village Center sits the Westside Shoppes, which is being developed by Unicorp National Development Inc. Restaurants coming soon to the Westside Shoppes include Little Greek Grill, Adena Farms Grill & Market and Keke’s Breakfast Cafe. A number of other restaurants — including Flippers Pizzeria, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, Tijuana Flats and Gator’s Dockside — are open.

Among the restaurants that have recently opened at the Westside Shoppes is Toasted: Crafted Grilled Cheese & Burgers, which opened in late April.

Toasted is a fast-casual restaurant that focuses reimagining an iconic staple of American cuisine: the grilled-cheese sandwich.

Although Toasted’s simple menu focuses on two entree categories — grilled cheese and burgers — the options within those categories offer a wide arrangement of flavors that would please any palette. Toasted also offers French fries and roasted tomato soup.

Toasted was founded by Jeffrey Yarmuth and his daughter in 2013. The first location is in Winter Park and others are located in Lake Nona and near the University of Central Florida.
