In a special St. Patrick's Day game, the Hornets (9-1, 5-0) celebrated the holiday with a come from behind 7-6 victory over the Ponte Vedra Sharks (9-2-1, 4-0).
After going into the half in a hole, the Hornets rallied back in the second half with an offense that clicked at just the right time.
In front of green-clad home crowd, the Hornets rallied before tying the game with eight-minutes left in the fourth-quarter.
A little over five-minutes later, with about 3:36 to go, junior Jake Kiefer stepped up and fired a rocket at goal that made its way into the back of the net — giving the Hornets the lead.
Over the remaining three-and-a-half minutes, the Hornets managed to hold off a frantic paced Sharks team on their way to an exciting victory.
Up next for the Hornets is a non-district matchup against Lake Highland Prep (4-5, 4-0) on Wednesday.
