The city of Winter Garden held its 26th annual Memorial Day program at Veterans Memorial Park on Monday, May 28. Participants dressed in uniform, and the attendees in red, white and blue, for the patriotic morning of prayer, songs and speeches.
The names of the 26 war dead from Winter Garden that are etched on the granite memorial were read, and representatives from American Legion Post 63, B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge 2165, Winter Garden Masonic Lodge, Winter Garden Lions Club and VFW Post 4305 placed wreaths at the foot of the monument.
