CLERMONT Each year, New Beginnings of Central Florida hosts its Dancing Under the Stars gala — complete with a dance competition for the coveted Mirror Ball trophy. This year’s gala was held Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Clermont Arts & Recreation Center and drew a great crowd for an elegant evening of dinner and dancing. Guests donated to New Beginnings for each vote they cast for the People’s Choice Award. Kim Wilde won the Mirror Ball award and Chris Hopkinson won the People's Choice Award! The six dancers raised a record-breaking $8,783 worth of votes.
