Ocoee police searching for hit-and-run suspect

The suspect struck a pedestrian with his vehicle while leaving the Publix parking lot on West Colonial Drive and Good Homes Road.

The City of Ocoee Police Department is on the lookout for a hit-and-run suspect.

According to a press release, at around 6:50 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, a pedestrian in the Publix parking lot located on West Colonial Drive and Good Homes Road was hit by a motor vehicle and transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The victim was attempting to stop the driver of a red and black four-door Nissan from leaving as they believed the passenger of the vehicle had stolen items from Publix, the release states. 

The suspect vehicle fled the scene following what is believed to be an intentional hit-and-run, according to the release. Ocoee police request that anyone with potential information on the incident contact the Ocoee Police Department or CRIMELINE at (800) 423-8477.
