HORIZON WEST As the sun set to the west and the band played Jimmy Buffet songs, guests roamed the back patio with frozen margaritas in hand — and all of it was meant to benefit Cornerstone Hospice’s newest hospice unit in Ocoee. Held Friday, Oct. 12, “Evening Beneath the Stars: A Night in Margaritaville” was a relaxing, tropical-themed evening complete with food and drinks, good music and a silent auction. Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter James Slater performed, as did The Beach Vibes, and Dr. Michael Armbruster was awarded the Heart of Cornerstone award. Proceeds will go toward the buildout of Cornerstone’s 10-bed hospice unit coming to Health Central’s campus next year.
