WINTER GARDEN Hundreds of Krispy Kreme doughnuts were a welcome sight at the finish line during the Donut Dash 5k race on Saturday, Oct. 13. Held at Newton Park in Winter Garden, the 5k raised funds for the Winter Garden Police Athletic League. Runners were encouraged to show up in their best doughnut-themed costumes or apparel, and could grab coffee, water, bananas and more pre- or post-race. Doughnut stations were set up along the race route, and each doughnut a runner consumed knocked 30 seconds off his or her time.
