Where can you sample some of the best foods and treats and collect information on a variety of top businesses in West Orange County?

The West Orange Chamber of Commerce’s festive block party is the perfect setting for this!

The chamber is hosting its 17th annual Best Fest “The Taste of West Orange” event from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11, on the shore of Ocoee’s Starke Lake — at 150 N. Lakeshore Drive. A disc jockey will keep the mood lively with music, while Chamber members and residents indulge in beer, wine, spirits, appetizers, entrees and desserts at booths set up by restaurants, bars and caterers in West Orange County. Many other leading businesses will have interactive exhibits and special offers, too.

The event includes a mix of new and established businesses. Four of them — West Orange Times/Observer Media Group, Bright Future Electric, Westerly’s at MetroWest Golf Club and Southwest Orlando Bulletin — have participated in Best Fest since the event’s inception.

“Best Fest 2019 is expected, as with every year, to be a night of celebrating all that is truly the best of our community,” Chamber President Stina D’Uva said. “There is no better way to enjoy scrumptious food, tasty beverages and the company of friends than while viewing the natural beauty of Starke Lake in Ocoee.”

Admission includes unlimited food and beverage samples. The cost is $46 in advance and $56 at the door. To purchase tickets, visit or call (407) 656-1304.
