Qualifying open for Oakland Commission seats

Three seats will appear on the town of Oakland municipal ballot March 17 — those of Mayor Kathy Stark, Vice Mayor Mike Satterfield and Commissioner Sal Ramos.

To qualify by signature card, candidates have until 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6. They must obtain 100 petition signatures from registered voters in the town.

To qualify by fee, candidates must pay a $100 fee during the qualifying period of 8 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9., to 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12.
