Santa to make rounds in Ocoee

Santa Claus has come to town in Ocoee.

The Ocoee Fire Department has launched its 19th annual Operation Santa event for the month of December. Santa will be traveling around the city from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 5, 11, 9, 17 and 19. Santa and his helpers will be making rounds to 73 different Ocoee neighborhoods atop a festive holiday float tossing candy and spreading holiday cheer. 

When residents see Santa in their neighborhood, they are encouraged to give him new, unwrapped toys. The toys will be donated to the Ocoee Police Department for its annual Holiday Toys for Kids in Need drive.
