BREAKING NEWS: Man dies after shooting at Club Fenix in Ocoee

A 25-year-old male died from his injuries after being shot at the venue Saturday night.

A suspect is still at large after fatally shooting a 25-year-old man at a venue in Ocoee Saturday night.

According to an official report, deputies from the Orange County Sheriff's Office responded to a call regarding a shooting at 11:44 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Club Fenix, located at 2151 Ocoee Apopka Road.

A family was hosting a quinceañera at the venue when an unruly guest arrived and an argument started. Victim Miguel Gonzalez, a 25-year-old male, was escorting the suspect out of the event space when the suspect pulled out a firearm and shot him, according to the report.

Gonzalez was transported to Advent Health Apopka in critical condition and later air lifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries during surgery.

The suspect fled on foot after the shooting. Deputies set a perimeter around the scene and a K-9 unit conducted a track with negative results.
