Oakland’s town square was full of festive fun Saturday, Dec. 7, at the town’s annual Santa Day and Light-Up Oakland event. School and performance groups provided music and dance for attendees, Santa Claus gave wrapped presents to children who sat on his lap and shared their wish lists, a balloon artist creative holiday sculptures and hats for children, and town officials counted down and lit up the square and the giant Christmas tree.
Lakeside Church was one of the major sponsors and provided hot chocolate to guests.
