Construction continues on Ninth Street

The road will remain closed until Dec. 24.

Cathcart Construction Company Inc. is continuing the construction of the sewer force main and potable water main within the Ninth Street right-of-way between East Bay and East Plant streets. Consequently, the full closure of Ninth between these two streets will need to be extended until 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, city officials said.

The intersection of East Bay and Ninth will be partially open to allow the public traveling northbound on Ninth to access East Bay (eastbound and westbound). The public also will be able to access the southbound side of Ninth from East Bay.

Signs are placed along the detoured route.
