Pedestrian dead following crash involving OCSO vehicle in Ocoee

Ocoee police say the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash.

UPDATE: According to OCSO media relations, the deputy involved in the accident is Deputy First Class John Bellochi, a patrol deputy who has been with the agency since July 2008.

The investigation is being handled by Ocoee PD.

Police say a pedestrian was killed in Ocoee Monday night following a crash involving an Orange County Sheriff's deputy.

According to Ocoee police, officers responded at 9:05 p.m. to a traffic crash involving the pedestrian and a marked OCSO vehicle at the intersection of Blackwood Avenue and State Road 50. 

The victim, whose identity is not being released pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The crash remains under investigation by Ocoee police.
