The red carpet was rolled out and ready for guests to walk during Oakland Avenue Charter School’s inaugural gala on Thursday, May 2. Held at Bella Collina in Montverde, the gala saw more than 160 attendees — ranging from school staff and parents to corporate sponsors and town of Oakland staff and representatives — converge to raise more than $12,000 for the school. The evening included dinner, dancing, a silent auction and plenty of photo opportunities.
