Baubles, horse figurines, ribbons and sparkles adorned many of the Kentucky Derby-style hats worn by attendees during the West Orange Junior Service League’s Run for the Roses event. The Kentucky Derby celebration, held at the Pines of Windermere on Saturday, May 4, is a community favorite. Hundreds in attendance enjoyed a catered meal, open bar, casino-style gaming, silent auction, best-dressed contests and a live showing of the 145th annual Kentucky Derby.
