With songs from birds and kangaroos, and even from an elephant and little Whos, Maxey Elementary school’s production of “Seussical the Musical Jr.” was sure to amuse. The musical, which was held on Tuesday, May 28, was the school’s first production as a visual and performing arts magnet, and featured a cast of more than 40 students portraying some of Dr. Seuss’ most iconic characters. The production also featured students’ voice-over recordings during some scene to assist with the dialogue of the show.
