Orlando Choral Society opens concert season

Featuring performances by the Garden Choir and Voci del Cuore, “Flower Into Kindness” will take place on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Members of the Orlando Choral Society are gearing up for their first concert series of the season.

The choral society’s fall concert series is called “Flower Into Kindness,” and it features performances by the Voci del Cuore and the Garden Choir. The concert will be under the direction of Olympia High Choir Director J. Chrstine Le — who is also the assistant director of OCS — and West Orange High Choir Director Dr. Jeffery Redding — who is a Grammy Award winner and the artistic and executive director of OCS. The concert also will feature a performance by Belle Chanson of Winter Park High School under the direction of Hollie Pratt.

“Flower Into Kindness” will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13 at the First United Methodist Church of Orlando; 142 E. Jackson St. The music starts at 4 p.m. and runs until 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door, and discounts are available for students in 12th grade or below.
