Annexations and rezones for some parcels of land in Winter Garden are on the agenda for discussion during tonight’s Winter Garden Planning and Zoning Board meeting.

According to the board’s agenda for Monday, Sept. 9, there are four items that board members will be considering. These include the following:

  • Annexation/future land use amendment for 902 Avalon Road. The city of Winter Garden is looking to purchase and annex a parcel of land at 902 Avalon Road for intended support of day-to-day operations at Tucker Ranch, according to city documents.
  • Annexation/future land use amendment/rezoning for two parcels of land at 945 and 951 Carter Road. The applicant requests annexation, and wants to both designate the property as multi office industrial and rezone the property to general industrial.
  • Rezoning for two parcels of land at 14908 and 14950 Tilden Road. The applicant is requesting to rezone 28.32 acres to Planned Unit Development. The PUD proposes to develop 56 single-family homes.
  • Future land use amendment/PUD rezoning at 30 N. Park Ave. The applicant is requesting to rezone the subject property to PUD and change the future land use destination for a portion of it to medium density residential, which would permit development.

Final decisions on these actions will take place at upcoming city commission meetings. For the Avalon Road, Carter Road and Tilden Road items, documents state that the first reading by the commission is scheduled for Sept. 12, with the second reading and decision to take place Sept. 26.

Documents state that city staff will recommend that the Park Avenue item be tabled until date certain on Oct. 7.
