A DQ Grill & Chill could be the newest restaurant in Winter Garden, should city commissioners approve the site plan.

During the Thursday, Feb. 13, commission meeting, city leaders will vote on whether to approve the site plan for the single-story restaurant.

According to city documents, the roughly 0.99-acre parcel, located at 14180 W. Colonial Drive, would become home to a 2,612-square-foot DQ Grill & Chill restaurant with a drive-thru.

The lot is part of the West Market project, which is being developed at the southwest corner of West Colonial Drive and South Park Avenue.

Land was cleared for the West Market project in mid-2018. At the time, the project was set to include two large retail buildings on the south side of the property, as well as four outparcel buildings along West Colonial Drive, totaling 27,600 square feet of restaurants and retail space.

Commissioners also will consider the second reading of Ordinance 20-04, which would rezone a 8.25-acre property located at the northeast corner of West Colonial Drive and Carter Road from the existing Planned Commercial Development to a new one. The plans include two hotels, a gas station and commercial space. For more information on this project, click here.
