SoBo Art Gallery hosting butterfly workshop

An upcoming workshop at the SoBo Art Gallery will teach artists how to capture the beauty of butterflies.

Mindy Lighthipe will be hosting a two-day workshop to teach artists how to paint and draw butterflies from Jan 17 to 18 at the Sobo Gallery; 127 S. Boyd St., Winter Garden. The workshop will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days. Cost for the workshop is $210 for Winter Garden Art Association members or $225 for non-members. Attendees will get to work with actual butterfly specimens during the workshop.  The first day of the workshop will be spent learning the anatomy of the butterfly and how to draw one in flight. On the second day, attendees will work in watercolor and/or colored pencils to add color to their butterflies.

The workshop is open to both beginners and advanced artists. A list of art supplies will be available upon registration. Space is not reserved until payment is received.
