Teen arrested in Oakland shooting

The victim was taken to an area hospital and is in stable condition.

The Oakland Police Department has arrested Daryl Quentin Schofield, 17, of Orlando, after he allegedly shot another teen in the face.

Police were called to the area of Pollard Street and Postell Avenue at around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, with reports of a 16-year-old boy getting shot. He was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment, and he was upgraded from critical to stable condition Wednesday morning.

Schofield was arrested for carrying a concealed firearm and currently is a suspect in the case.

The investigation is ongoing, and further charges are expected.
