Baldwin Park Elementary is coming together to host two big upcoming events in February.

Walk and Roll aims to encourage healthy habits and get people outside and moving together on the way to school.

Students have the opportunity to mix up their morning by walking, riding a bike or scooter, skateboarding, or even taking the Walking School Bus.

The Walking School Bus will allow parents and students to meet up at a designated spot and walk to school with volunteer chaperones.

Although parents and guardians are encouraged to join, adults can also drop children off at the specified location with a volunteer and sign a permission slip.

Those who wish to see the Walking School Bus locations or volunteer can click here.

The event will take place at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9.

The school will also be holding a new parent orientation at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, at the school.

The preview night for perspective parents will allow newcomers to meet current BPE parents and the principal.

The event will also include a school tour and parent panel.
