Ocoee police searching for parking lot shooter

A man is in the hospital in critical condition after being shot near a shopping center on Silver Star Road.

The Ocoee Police Department is looking for the person responsible for shooting a man around 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, April 10. The shooting took place in a shopping center parking lot at 1560 Silver Star Road, Ocoee.

When first responders arrived on the scene, they found a man lying on the ground unresponsive. Ocoee firefighters and paramedics rendered first aid, and the victim was airlifted to

a local hospital in critical condition, police said. According to witnesses, the suspect or suspects left the area in a silver sedan-type vehicle, police said.

According to police, the shooting does not appear to be a random act.
