The Oakland Police Department is on the hunt for a person wanted in connection with a burglary at the Oakland Nature Preserve’s museum Thursday, Feb. 15. The suspect’s image was captured on a security camera.

According to ONP officials, the window in the museum door was smashed, and the suspect gained entry and took items from one historical display. They have not said what was stolen.

The museum will remain closed this weekend while staff cleans up the mess and repairs the window.

“We are thankful that all of our critters are OK; none (was) harmed/taken in the invasion,” ONP reported on its Facebook page.

Anyone with information about the incident or the individual is asked to call the Oakland Police Department at (407) 656-9797.
