Florida Film Academy: Procreate Dreams Animation Camp

Details: Students will be required to draw and know how the original Procreate program works before registering for the camp. Students will be required to have an iPad that has both the Procreate and Procreate Dreams programs on it. We will be going over the 12 steps of Disney animation and completing animation exercises in Procreate dreams to familiarize students with the program and how it works. Students will then design a character and create a short animation using a character they create.

Details: Led by our head of art and animation, Peter Smith, this camp is designed to introduce students to the exciting world of drawing, art and animation. Students will work on different projects and will explore different art media throughout the week. Horizon High School Band 2024 Summer Music Camp
Horizon High School, 10393 Seidel Road, Winter Garden

Details: Summer Music Camp at Horizon High School is open to students entering first through eighth grade in the 2024-25 school year. Students attend the option of Elementary Music Camp (first through third grade), Beginning Band Camp (fourth through sixth grade, instruments/supplies are included), Intermediate/Advanced Band Camp (seventh through eigth grade, or prior experience with band instruments), or Cadet Color Guard Camp (sixth through eigth grade, no experience necessary). All students receive instruction from certified music teachers, and band students receive individual instruction and group instruction on woodwind, brass and/or percussion instruments. Marshall Ellis Dance School Summer Programs

Details: The Marshall Ellis Dance School is offering two summer programs for 2024: Four-week Ballet Intensive in June and a two-week Performance Intensive in July. These rigorous training programs are designed for motivated and aspiring dancers. Details: Each week, students will move and groove to soundtracks of different movies based on that week’s theme. Young Writers Summer Camps
UCF Downtown Orlando, Dr. Phillips Academic Commons, 500 W. Livingston St., Orlando

Details: Experience what writing should be – creative, social and fun! This camp gives young authors the opportunity to write, illustrate and publish their very own book with help from an amazing community of published authors, editors and illustrators. Perfect for writers of all abilities — from the budding young wordsmiths who love the process, to the reluctant writer who hasn’t yet found the know-how or interest in writing. Each one-week long camp encourages writers to explore their creative voices and write their very own stories. Throughout the week students experience a one-on-one art consultation with a professional illustrator to design the cover of their books and on the last day of every camp, each young author is featured in a one-of-a-kind book release party to share their stories for an eager audience of friends and family. Page 15 offers a limited number of full scholarships during each week of camp. Scholarships cover tuition and all supplies for camp.
