Alpine Academy Social Skills Summer Camp
848 Executive Drive, Oviedo

Details: The 2024 social skills camp aims to provide a safe and fun learning environment for children with unique learning needs that focuses on developing, strengthening and maintaining social relationships with peers. The six-week program utilizes the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis — a leading, research-based method to bring positive change in behavior for individuals with autism and learning disabilities — to teach children specific skills required for successful social interaction.

Easter Seals Camp Challenge

Details: Camp Challenge offers its children and adult campers with special needs the ability to develop life skills through specific programming that supports exploring interests and enhancing independent living and social skills.

Lake Aurora’s Camp Friendship
Lake Aurora Christian Camp, 237 Golden Bough Road, Lake Wales

Details: The camp is planned for those with developmental and physical disabilities. Campers, each accompanied by a “special friend,” will participate in a variety of experiences, including worship, Bible study, crafts, fishing, talent night, hayrides and more. The camp teams up with groups experienced with specialized programming, part of The Sunshine Project.

OCA’s 2024 Summer Camp

Details: OCA’s Summer Camp offers a fun-packed experience for its campers by providing plenty of recreation options, arts and crafts, music and dance; to help build necessary skills while utilizing functional communication training. Each week during the 2024 camp season has a new and educational theme to help make the experience full of fulfilling social and personal growth opportunities.

Quest’s Camp Thunderbird

Details: Campers at Camp Thunderbird can choose activities based on personal interests and preferences. Activities vary within the program and include sports and games, archery, pool time, arts and crafts, canoeing, nature studies, and more. Through choice programming, guests take ownership of their experience, allowing a schedule that best caters to desired outcomes and goals.
