Windermere High School announced a new mandatory course for all students starting with the 2027 class.

According to the school, students will explore how personal values and cognitive biases impact financial decision-making and more.

Students will also learn to evaluate job offers, learn the role of taxes, the importance of credit, various forms of insurance, implications of debt, and more.

The goal is to give students an understanding of personal finance concepts, ensuring they'll make informed financial decisions.

Students must complete the course before senior year but after the completion of Algebra 1, as it may impact the ability to earn senior privileges, the school said.
