With more than 100 singers, a live orchestra, bell choir, and intergenerational dancers, one of Central Florida’s most beloved holiday traditions returns this December as St. Luke’s United Methodist Church presents its annual Christmas Concert — a heartwarming celebration where music and storytelling capture the true spirit of the season.
Performances will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, Friday, Dec. 12, and Saturday, Dec. 13; and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at the church, 4851 S. Apopka-Vineland Road, Orlando.
“Sounds of the Season” invites audiences to pause amid the rush of the holidays and rediscover the wonder of Christmas. The concert beautifully blends professional artistry with heartfelt community spirit, creating an experience that uplifts, inspires, and reminds us of what this season is truly about.
For many, the annual concert is more than just a performance — it’s a family tradition that brings people together.
“I enjoy sharing this experience with my daughter, who is singing with the youth choir,” dancer Nicole Howard said. "It’s made memories to last a lifetime.”
The concert features a live nativity, where St. Luke’s families portray Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus, surrounded by kings, shepherds and dancing angels. The result is a living reminder of the story at the heart of the season.
Choir member Timothy Lewis said returning for his second year is a special joy.
“I’m blessed to share my voice to help usher in the spirit of the holiday season,” he said. “I hope that those who come to experience the concert will feel the love and know the true meaning of Christmas.”
In addition to the music and dance, audiences will be uplifted by moments of reflection and community connection. The rich sound of the St. Luke’s Community Choir, joined by the Children’s Choir and Youth Ensemble, fills the sanctuary with familiar carols and powerful new arrangements.
“The Christmas concert at St. Luke’s brings many groups together and sets a tone for December in a meaningful way,” longtime choir member Dayani Fernando said.
Ticket prices range from $15 to $30 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Children under 3 are free if seated on a parent’s lap.
