On Monday, July 7, the Oakland Nature Preserve hosted a children's camp ages 8-12 for a week full of magic.
Frogwarts is the theme for camp, inspired from the Harry Potter movies.
ONP has education in mind at all times, but want to ensure kids are having fun while learning as well.
At Frogwarts, kids get to learn how ecosystems interact with each other, like frogs and crayfish, insects and wildlife animals.
Kids were placed into four different houses: Moonfeather, Whisperclaw, Ironscale and Nimblewing.
They were placed in these houses based on their characteristics, like wise and perceptive, clever and curious, bold and patient, spirited and friendly, etc.
The campers also got to learn spells to duel with each other based on the educational material they were learning.
