Former Congresswoman Val Demings shared words of encouragement about leadership at the West Orange Chamber of Commerce's Celebrating Leadership luncheon.

Former Congresswoman Val Demings had encouraging words for this year's class of Leadership West Orange graduates.

"Leadership is not easy," Demings said. "Many days are filled with easy decisions, but many days have their share of tough, hard, difficult decisions. ... But when you step up and lead, the rewards can be so much greater than we ever could imagine."

Demings served as the keynote speaker during the West Orange Chamber of Commerce's Celebrating Leadership luncheon Thursday, June 5, at the Ocoee Lakeshore Center.

The chamber celebrated 29 business leaders graduating from Leadership West Orange during the luncheon.
