The Oakland Town Commission met on Tuesday, June 10 and read proclamations for the month of June.
June 19 is recognized as a day to celebrate Juneteenth.
Mayor Shane Taylor also proclaimed June 23-29 as Pollinator Week. Taylor encourages all residents to participate in community activities that support and celebrate pollinator protection.
