Attendees braved the cold weather to come out and pay tribute to veterans.

Retired U.S. Army Maj. William E. Maxwell was the keynote speaker for Ocoee’s Veterans Day Celebration.
The weather was cold, but hearts were warm at the City of Ocoee’s Veterans Day Celebration Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Bill Breeze Park, Ocoee.
The evening featured a display of patriotism, including a keynote speech from retired U.S. Army Maj. William E. Maxwell. The Ocoee Fire Department’s 90-foot Pierce ladder truck displayed a 20-foot-by-30-foot American flag, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2093 Community Band performed the national anthem and a medley of patriotic songs throughout the celebration. The Lone Sailor Division, a unit of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, presented the colors.
Immediately following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a colorful fireworks show lighting up the night sky.
