U.S. Air Force veterans Tony and Cocoa Morgan stood tall on the stage as they shared their story.
The couple has been married for 39 years and has three children and 10 grandchildren. They currently live in a home that needs to be completely renovated.
After years of service and raising a family, Tony Morgan and his wife will be moving into a new home that will be a block away from where he was born and raised in Winter Garden thanks to the efforts of West Orange Habitat for Humanity.
He thanked everyone at West Orange Habitat for Humanity's annual Rock the House Saturday, Nov. 15, for the continued support as it helped people like him and his wife.
"This is an opportunity that means so much so we can re-establish ourselves and re-establish our roots," Tony Morgan said. "As our neighbor said, it gives us a place to call home."
Dozens of organizations and businesses attended Rock the House and donated thousands of dollars to support the nonprofit's efforts.
At the end of the night, West Orange Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Marilyn Hattaway was announced the chief executive officer of the nonprofit.
