In celebration of its centennial, the town of Windermere will be building 100 beds at its 2025 Community Bunk Bed Build.

And the town could use a few extra hands.

The community service event takes place from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 18, at 520 Main St., Windermere.

The build is a partnership between the Windermere Police Foundation, the Windermere Legacy Fund and Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a national organization that builds and delivers beds to children in need. It has more than 350 chapters throughout the United States, Canada, Bermuda and the Bahamas.
