Ocoee’s Fire Department introduced its new medical support unit to the community, a vehicle able to transport multiple people at once in case of emergencies.
Sparky, the fire station’s mascot made an appearance during the event, showing off his charm and the new bus.
Police cars could be seen all around park, with one parked directly in front of the police department’s tent.
Children enjoyed the inflatable joust battle game, and parents had a good during it.
Sterling Brown, Sherri Hastings and Mario Jimenez from HighPoint Church handed out popcorn to the community.
Ocoee families and law enforcement came together for an evening of community bonding and strengthening Tuesday, Oct. 7 at Bill Breeze Park.
The National Night Out event was first established in 1984 and has since become a popular event all across the United States, establishing a fun environment for citizens and law enforcement to come together under positive circumstances and build camaraderie.
Attendees enjoyed a live deejay, food trucks, face painting and much more.
A rock climbing wall, obstacle course, bounce houses and a human hamster wheel entertained the children and adults during the event.
The Ocoee Police Department also was chatting with attendees about being recruited to the force, with a recruiter on site.
The night ended with a demonstration by one of Ocoee’s K-9, showing off its bite work skills in the field.
