Oakland Nature Preserve to host Nature Fest

This event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the preserve, 747 Machete Trail, Oakland.

If you’ve always wanted to explore the natural wonders of Oakland Nature Preserve, here’s your chance.

The preserve will host Nature Fest from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at 747 Machete Trail, Oakland.

Attendees can meet members of the environmental community, participate in animal interactions and guided hikes, boat tours on Lake Apopka, learn more at interesting presentations, and more.

Admission is free, but donations gratefully received and will benefit the mission of Oakland Nature Preserve.
