With the sun shining and festivities happening, the town of Oakland held its annual block party Friday, Sept. 19 at the Healthy West Orange Arts & Heritage Center.
The event consisted of an interactive deejay, face painting, airbrush tattoos, music, food vendors, games and more.
Attendees met with neighbors and other community members from 5:30 to 8 p.m. for what Commissioner Kris Keller described as "what Oakland is all about."
The center also presented its current exhibit, "Raices Y Recuerdos, Roots & Memories," celebrating the Day of the Dead.
