OARS opens championship season strong at FSRA Central District Championship

The FSRA Central District Championship was held at Lake Minneola Waterfront Park in Clermont Saturday, March 28.

Orlando Area Rowing Society kicked off its championship season on a strong note at the FSRA Central District Championship at Lake Minneola Waterfront Park in Clermont Saturday, March 28. Lake County Rowing Association and Seminole County Area Rowing hosted the regatta that was the opening row of the 2026 championship season. 

Despite challenging weather conditions that limited some entries due to safety concerns, OARS showcased an impressive performance from all of its boats. OARS earned eight gold medals, four silver and two bronze.  

OARS championship racing continues with the FSRA State Sculling Championships Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12, and the FSRA State Sweep Championships at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota Saturday, April, 25, and Sunday, April 26.
