Paving in Oakland to cause road closures

Road closures will take place Thursday, Aug. 13, on East Vick Avenue.

The town of Oakland announced a road closure will take place next week due to paving.

East Vick Avenue between Starr Street and Tubb Street paving will begin Monday, Aug. 10.

On Thursday, Aug. 13, the road will be closed.

Town officials ask residents to use alternate parking arrangements on that day.

"Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our streets," Oakland officials said.
