Oakland Nature Preserve announced the boardwalk has reopened Thursday, Aug. 13.

The boardwalk was temporarily closed Wednesday, Aug. 12, for planned renovations. The closure was expected to last through Friday, Aug. 14, but the preserve announced the work was completed faster than expected.

The closure affected the sidewalk leading up to the second part of the boardwalk, closing off access to the lake.
