The First Academy raises nearly $62k for Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children

The school held its annual Royal-Thon and celebrated raising more than $600,000 since the marathon's inception eight years ago.

The First Academy held its eighth annual Royal-Thon, also known as the Dance Marathon, Friday, Feb. 20. 

The school was shouted-out by the Children's Miracle Network at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children for raising $61,913.15 for them, as well as for reaching an amazing milestone. 

Since the marathon's inception, the school now has raised more than $600,000 in total for the hospital. 

"The dedication of these students year after year continues to change lives for local kids and families," Children's Miracle Network post said. "We are so proud of the impact they've built."
