West Orange High volleyball player commits to the University of Central Florida

Class of 2028 outside hitter Jaylyn Burke will become a Knight.

West Orange High School's junior girls volleyball player Jaylyn Burke announced her verbal commitment to the University of Central Florida. 

The Class of 2028 outside hitter also plays club volleyball for Top Select Volleyball Academy. 

Her past season as a sophomore Warrior, she led the 12-8 team with 3.1 kills per set, totaling 110 on the season, and also recorded 13 total blocks during the season with 13 serving aces. 

"There's something special about chasing your dream where it all began, being able to play Division I volleyball in my hometown means everything to me," Burke wrote. "The work doesn't stop here. It's only the beginning."
