At 12 years old, Kaycie Peters not only was the youngest starter on the Dr. Phillips Little League All-Star Junior team but also was the tallest player at 5-foot-8.

Peters was a top hitter in the team’s seven games through district, sectionals and states, finishing the All-Star summer with a .619 batting average, .667 on-base percentage and 13 hits, including three doubles and three triples. She had nine RBIs, nine runs scored, three walks and seven stolen bases.

The rising seventh-grader at Southwest Middle School has shown she is a utility player with her ability to step into all nine positions on the field, including pitching and catching. It was her ninth season at DPLL and her third All-Star team in four eligible years.
