The City of Winter Garden is opening its City Hall to community members and their canine companions for the "Dog Days of Summer: The Ulti-Mutt Art Exhibit."

The canine-inspired art gallery will be displayed from Wednesday, July 1, to Monday, Aug. 31, at the Art in Public Places Gallery at Winter Garden City Hall.

The exhibition includes 30 pieces of original artwork in different mediums. Nearly 100 submissions were received in the city's Artists' Call for the exhibit in April.

A special "The Dogs of Winter Garden" art piece will be present for visitors to place a photo of their dog or dogs. The maximum size for the photograph is 4 by 6 inches and limited to one photo per dog. Photos cannot be returned.

There will be a launch party premiering the exhibit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 10. The event includes self-guided dog-friendly gallery tours inside City Hall, a meet-and-greet opportunity with the exhibit "Pawcassos" and their models, a doggie splash pad, a pooch photo station, refreshments and giveaways.
