Two major earthquakes struck near Venezuela Wednesday, June 24, with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5.

It was devastating, with more than 1,400 deaths, and that number continues to rise.

Venezuela currently is searching for about 50,000 missing residents, with the help of other countries from around the world.

Because of that, the Overlook Apartments at Lake Britt now is collecting donations to be sent to Venezuela.

Items needed include nonperishable food, water, medical supplies, hygiene items, clothing and shoes, and baby supplies.

Drop off will be at the leasing office, located at 15055 Lake Britt Circle, Winter Garden.

Items need to be dropped off by the end of the week to be sent to a trusted donation collection facility, where workers will prepare boxes to be sent to those in need in Venezuela.
