The Lake Apopka Loop Trail is finally complete.
The final $10 million, 3.2-mile connector trail opened to the public Saturday, Feb. 28, marking the project's completion.
This final connection also includes a 10- to 14-foot-wide paved section for cyclists, walkers, runners and even equestrians.
This connector trail provides connection from the West Orange Trail to the Lake Apopka Loop Trail, stretching through Apopka and Ocoee.
Visitors now can complete a full loop around Lake Apopka and it's free to do so.
