S.R. 429 ramp at Schofield Road to close for road work

Schofield Road to northbound State Road 429 will be closed nightly from Tuesday, March 17, to Thursday, March 19.

Central Florida Expressway Authority is closing State Road 429 ramp allow for road work.

Schofield Road to northbound S.R. 429 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly from Tuesday, March 17, to Thursday, March 19. 

Drivers will be directed to continue east on Schofield Road and then travel north on Avalon Road to access northbound S.R. 429 from New Independence Parkway. 

Work could be delayed or prolonged due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. 

The work is for the construction of the third segment of State Road 516. Work on the Lake/Orange Expressway began in May 2024 and is expected to conclude in mid-2027.
