Windermere Town Council will explore possible solutions to cut-through traffic in the town at a workshop at 6 p.m. June 25 at Town Hall.

Cut-through traffic has been an issue in the town for years and a 2018 study from Kimley-Horn and Associates confirmed most of the traffic was coming from outside the town limits with a destination also outside of the town.

Tuesday night, the council will discuss several options to move the traffic in and out efficiently and the development relief routes around the town. Two proposed internal solutions—which include a roundabout at Maguire and Windermere Roads and a continuous right turn on the southern approach to Chase Road from Main Street—would require assistance from Orange County.
